Denilson has made 12 appearances for Sao Paulo and is captain of the Brazil Under-19 team.
"The English club has paid US$6.5m (£3.4m) to sign the Sao Paulo player," reported the Brazilian club's website.
The deal for Denilson is subject to international clearance and it has been reported the player will be loaned to a smaller club to gain experience. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
