A succesful youth program ?....H.L says its a different topic,so I put it up top.
H.L take a shot at it in a paragraph, one word or line snipets ,need not post.
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!
"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.
"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.
Burrell is symbolic with whats wrong with Jamaica, elected into power at a good age ,made changes that brought around early success, because of this ,he and others that support him believe he is entitled to stay in power as long as he pleases, trying the same old concept of early success not realizing that time has left those concepts behind,so he is in effect at a state of war with his constituents, however silent. He will live out his legacy as a "what could have been" dinosaur.
His problem is that he cant see, corporate Jamaica and the masses will never embrace his UB40 vision again ,as they have in the past, becuase it has failed consistently post WC 98.
Jamaicans have more of an appetitie for sustained local development, you see it in our T&F , our netballers, all facets of our sports. This whole sale run to england fits a colonial mindset, that is outdated and repulsive to every facet of Jamaican society.
It will not be supported.Until he changes his mentality, his legacy will be just that.We will not qualify for another WC until this mentality has changed.
Thats my psycho analysis of Burrell....BTW he has a picture of old european conquerers in his office, proof of the mindset, like those ancients whose ideas passed in a revolution.
