  • Marin, Rogers owe Gerrard his job:

Like it or not, if Liverpool had lost to Wimbledon, Rogers would have lost his job.

More I could say about this--but I am sure you will agree.

And goat-X, please keep out of this.

    Thanks.

The problem against Wimbledon was that Markovic, Coutinho, Lame-bert, Balotelli, and Henderson are INCAPABLE of scoring goals. I don't have a clue what I would do with them if I were Rodgers other than have them do nothing but finishing in practice. It was UNREAL how poor their finishing was (and has been). I feel it for Rodgers, his players are letting him down. He is not the tactical dweeb that heX makes him out to be nor is he incompetent. I believe that FSG (and their lack of real funds) is the real problem...otherwise, Messi would be on our shopping list...and Suarez never would have been sold. So far, no one has gotten out of Suarez (or Sturridge) what Rodgers has...and my guess is...no one will.

Agree with you on the assessment of Rogers. You can only work with what you have.

You cannot claim to be a BIG club--when you cannot maintain your primary assets ie: your star players.

Manu, Man City also struggled in the FA cup. Liverpool Let us see how they replace Gerrard and Johnson.

Johnson has already been "replaced". Gerrard will be tougher; we have no one that would be considered "leadership material" except for maybe Lucas in the squad. Skrtel would be my second pick. That's leadership. As for playing ability, we will miss his long range passing, his steady penalty taking, and his big moments...but...unfortunately, aging no partial.

yeah what I am saying they can use the wages for Johnson and attract a decent player somewhere else on the pitch. Gerrard can't be replaced but you can also get two decent young talent for his wages.
