    These rumours are on the ball. Look - The aim is,

    challenging for titles.

    Most of the defenders and midfielders are just not TOP OF THE WORLD in any of the key areas - technical skills, pace, desire and TEAM oriented.

    It boils down to 'available replacement talents' and 'money deals'.

    The back: Keep Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho and Simon Mignolet! ...and upgrade at every position including positions those 3 hold.

    The midfield - Clean house save Raheem Sterling (use him behind a front 2 or 3), Gerard (judicious use - pick and choose spots i.e. when to use and length of time in matches) and Coutinho (this guy needs playing time - This reflex act of pulling him in matches must be replaced with sensible use. Sure he sometimes demand pulling but pull him you must when it makes sense. Cannot be a Wenger like nonsense as with his use of his most potent striker Podolski! Pulling a player for 'pulling sake' is nonsense act).

    Upfront - Sturridge (get this guy fit and keep him fit), Mario Balloteli, Adam Lallana - midfield/forward)...keep! Get rid of the rest and upgrade.

    Your teaching/coaching is great. We all can see it in the movement and possession stats. Too many of your players are 2nd or 3rd rate. The combination of Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling and Gerard, Sktel and Mignolet hid the frailty of your squad. Just 2 missing - (Suaraz & Sturridge) - and although you still have the moves i.e. play good 'pass and move game', the supporting cast is just not good enough.

    Rebuild with TOP OF THE WORLD quality. Happy hunting for that quality in the context of 'available dunny'!

    BoyU, Chelsea, ManCity shall add top quality if available...while the stubborn Wenger shall add around the edges.

        Great article, I want to support the manager, and i would say give him till the end of the season, at least if we continue to improve. But he is simply not a winner in the sense of a Ferguson, Mourinho, Van Gaal, Rafa ect.. You can see what defeat means to them, if Rodgers came out more this season, and said this is unacceptable for Liverpool he would win the respect of the fans and give the players a kick up the backside. He is too nice and makes to many BS excuses, we could'd get in top players, we are missing important, players through injury, we didn't get that wee bit of luck.. Don't take the fans as fools My Rodgers you aren't fooling anybody!

        it was a stark contrast..the utd press conference..van gaal was going on about how they need to be better and rodgers was talking about well we had done.
