  • Good game Liverpool

Pool took the game to Arsenal today. Pool is lacking a quality striker. I know they can't wait for Sturridge to come back. Tired legs Toure play a good game.

Arsenal took their chances, had a not so good first half but the second half was good. It wasn't Sanchez day. Good game.

Today the problem was finishing... e.g. Coutinho scuffed at least two shots and Lallana couldn't find the target, and other attempts were not clinical enough. And while the defence had a good day, they were deficient on both Arsenal's goals. Having said that, I think DeBuchy had enough of an arm on Skrtl so he couldn't jump... everyone seems to have missed that.

But that is the nature of the game. If Coutinho, Lallana and Balotelli find some finishing form, along with Sterling and a healthy Sturridge, I could see a rise back up the tables, however that is an IF...

The result was fair but LFC underachieved in the end. A game we definitely should have won.

They have a supremely gifted striker in Mario Balotello.

Regarding the comment on reffing consistency: They say it is 98.4% accurate based on 38718 decisions so far prior to yesterday's matches. That
98.4% of 38718 leaves 618 wrong decisions in approximately 160 matches by my calculation, or 3.8 errors per match. If those errors result in critical free kicks, yellows or reds, a goal (dis)allowed for any of a variety of reasons, it's still way too many in my opinion.

They should be using the available technology to get as close to 100%.

Start by getting rid of the offside rule...

I don't think that will happen soon. IMO, Use of technology will be implemented before offside is eliminated, if that ever comes to pass.

Snapshot time boss, how about a quick list of which teams should be on the top four AND singling out one unfortunate team deemed unworthy, with only a 5th,6th or 7th finish possible?

Liverpool outplayed us on possession and advances into deep attacking areas. However 'pool was very poor on making that 'final pass'...thank the Lord!

Having said that we had enough possession in key areas to have won the match but if you keep giving away the ball as often as we did then drawing is a gift and losing is usually just desserts.

They were poor at shooting. They created enough chances. If they had Sturridge it may have ben a different game.

...and if we had Podolski or our usual passing game it might have been different

I wouldn't have a problem with that. But just thinking about it, that would have to be some wicked piece of technology. FIFA may have to ask the Kim Jung Un to lend some expertise!

There is so much to consider - did van Persie touch the ball on the way to Mata? That's only one!

They could use "hot spot" technology like they do in cricket for that particular question re RVP's head touching the ball.
