In December, Coach Vin Blaine took the National Under-20 Women’s Team for a camp in preparation for the participation in the 2006 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Tournament in Mexico. The tournament qualified the top three (3) finishers to the 2006 FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup in Russia in August. Jamaica finished fourth in the competition behind Canada, USA and Mexico 1<SUP>st</SUP>, 2<SUP>nd</SUP> and 3<SUP>rd</SUP> respectively in the tournament and ranked 11<SUP>th</SUP>, 2<SUP>nd</SUP> and 26<SUP>th</SUP> in the world.<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><o></o><P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">The location of the Academy is quite ideal for effective training camps to be staged. When asked about the location of the facility, Blaine stressed the fact that Munro is cool and quiet and the hustle and bustle and social distractions that exist elsewhere in the island are absent from the community. He noted that the squad members and administrators get a chance to “escape” the pressures that come with an urban existence and can therefore focus exclusively on the tasks at hand.<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><o></o><P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">Coupled with the seclusion and limited distracti
