Our keeper is one of our biggest weaknesses. He is very shaky with his ball distribution and has no command of the back 4. Pepe was better in the role, but, him **** off the manager wid di Rafa talk..so... Very frustrating run of results. BR betta fix it soon...chrismus soon come, and that is when the P-standard change management committee meets to assess progress. Him might jes find a lump of coal in his stocking!

      Tru chat, sah!

I would love to see a Chelsea-like effort at setting up the main man. In Chelsea's matches it is true there is no shying from setting up best placed TEAMmate on goal...and so it should be...but it would be the blind who does not see that members of the Chelsea TEAM consistently make effort to set-up their main striker, Diego Costa, on goal. Liverpool would do well to follow that Chelsea act.

He was doing well defensively! When you say not playing well you mean he was not SCORING?

Tilla suggested that a reason for the substitution could have nothing to do with the player not playing well!

bottom line is he was not getting goals from his striker so he replaced him with another striker ...... "playing well" would have been scoring goals ... guranteed that if he had scored and looked likely to score he would have stayed on.

Have you ever seen a coach replace a striker minutes after he scored? In other words, the goal was welcome, but the the bigger picture is more important. It us about winning the war Gamma, not necessarily the many battles.

hmmm this is true in some instances, but in an instance when a goal is needed and the forward is not scoring or is not likely to score (as was the case) and he is replaced by another forward, the inference is clear isn't it?

I don't think he had a bad game... he needs a strike partner or someone who will work more closely with him (from mid-field). Is it me or does he seem to be alone very often?
