Not enough TEAM!
Some shall ask: How can you say GUNNERS are not playing enough TEAM when in most games the TEAM has at least 50+% of possession?
Here goes - The problem the TEAM is having is lack of goals or rather lack of enough goals from excellent scoring positions.
If the TEAM continues to underperform in that goalscoring department, we shall lose games against TEAMs that make more efficient use of their opportunities.
Look?...it is rare...just about never happens that a TEAM does not get 2 or more good chances to score in matches. My GUNNERS more often than not find a player or players in excellent scoring areas approximately 5+ times in matches and do not get off a pass on goal or a good pass on goal.
Why does that happen so frequently?...you ask!
A really simple answer, the man on the ball who is perfectly placed to make that final 'telling pass' to a TEAM does not make the 'telling pass'.
Why do that happen?
It appears that either:
- there is a problem of lack of composure when in those pressure situations - The pressure to sensibly act/apply logic;
The pressure causes 'brain to misfiyah!'
- selfishness=anti-TEAM kicks in and player focuses on personal glory.
Matters not which it is, it is for the teacher to recognise the problem and apply a fix=proper teaching method that results in successful outcomes. Teacher Wenger, If the students do not learn the teacher has not taught!!!
The Stats:
- *13.8 shots per game (Joint 8th) - Behind main rivals or tied i.e. behind Chelsea, ManCity, Liverpool, Everton and tied with BoyU
Yup! BoyU is in the hunt.
Period!!!
The others Southampton, Newcastle and Spurs: I do not at this stage think they have the quality to be considered to be in the hunt. ...and this even as Southampton is 2nd in the league.
Aside: Swansea and West Ham are excellent TEAMs...but again I do not think there is 'the class'.
- *Possession Average 55% (2nd)
- *Pass Success 85.5% (Joint 1st)
