    MLS salaries released, showing Kaka nets MLS-record $7.1 million

    Major League Soccer released its current public salary records, and we have a new record for guaranteed value.
    Kaka, the marquee signing by expansion club Orlando City SC, will make a record $6.6 million in annual value and $7.1 million in guaranteed compensation, the highest ever in MLS.

    Kaka will be helpful in further developing the league. His employment is also to sell tickets around the league.

    Maybe we should check with Jawgeinho to see if Robinho is still coming to MLS.

      short term gratification...don't see how this is good long term for MLS...the knock on the league is that it's for over the hill stars to get a last payday...this cements that view

        MLS is just 21 years old.

        It's business model IMO is much better that it's european counterpart.

        In the next 10 or so years, MLS will surpass europe in all functions. This include attracting the best footballers.

        Yes, i agree that currently it attracts the tyiad legs that are out to pasture. But their presence and function is to build the American football club system that will be equal or better than them all.
        The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

          Sadly, the model is one that will work, but without relegation, it isn't really "football" is it? Your other predictions...we'll have to wait and see.
