It needs the input of the recent immigrant. Go to the parks in Queens and you will see all old school Jamaican ballers playing year round but not the youths. They could set up their own league, couldn't they?

Many of the traveling teams underwrite (sponsor players from the lower income levels with good technical ability...buys players?..for team). A lot of football is being played by kids whose parents are in the lower economic groupings.
My last post in the thread that asked of HL if he was watching the Czech v USA match was a nod to Klinsmann unearthing talent from that group for US Age-group teams and beyond. 'One or two' of today's 13 through 15 year old could be in that 2018 US squad...and if there is, expect from him or them creation of waves (marked/pronounced upgrade on current players).
Aside: If what Klinsmann and US Soccer is anything to go by, the US is moving further away from JA.
The big question: Will Costa Rica and Mexico be dragged along as they observe what is happening in the US and step up their efforts to keep pace?
