Peter, ballotelli would fit Liverpool's system very well. He can play as a lone striker which means Coutinho and Sterling can play deeper when necessary...and of course, he is a big dude, so he can create space for Sturridge (and dispense damage himself) in a 4-4-2 formation. Now that said, I realise your concern is the behavioural side of the player, but if there is one thing Rodgers showed with Suarez is that he can manage players' behaviour. I would be happy with this signing, but at the same time, I too would be holding my breath and not get overly Xuberant just yet. This signing though, would put us SQUARELY in the hunt for top 4 if not the title, but I still think we need a Gerrard replacement candidate to boss the midfield if we are going to compete on all fronts.

He is a pretty good player but not sure if the risk is worth it as his production at best is just a touch past decent, that said it does not look like he has had too many full seasons of playing first eleven ball so the data is not clear on his true potential over a full season in a good environment.

Also from what I have seen he is a striker that needs to be fed mostly and what Pool needs is another Sturridge/Suarez type that can scavenge or create.

How he handled Sterling was good. "You say easy to me again, you'll be in the first plane back!!!" From that Sterling a behave himself.

Stoni - name ONE STRIKER besides Tevez that can play like Suarez. That kind of player simply DOES NOT EXIST. The reason Ballo is a good fit to my thinking is BECAUSE the next step for Sturridge IS to become that kind of scavenger...and he can do it...BUT he needs a big man to play off of. I think Ballo would be a terrific signing as he knows the prem, knows the expectations and will be playing for the biggest club he has ever played for in his life. He's also more mature now than a few years ago. Remember, he is still not yet 25 so with Milan's $ problems, we might get him for far less than his real value and could be good business for the club.

Ballo is a great talent and I would love to see him in the EPL
Damn, he does not travel light though. So much baggage!!!

you can stop beat down Rodgers now.

Yeah it will be interesting for sure, I guess I have my bias towards forwards that are multi dimensional, fast, skilled, can create, can hold, can destroy, don't need to be spoon fed like I think Balo needs to be super effective, Pool's midfield is just not really setup for that, with Sterling, lallana and Sturridge those are three parts that are highly mobile, creative and interchangeable in play, balo does not fit that mold at all. Good pickup never the less, a hell of a lot better than Lambert!? And ten years younger!

Lambert was always a sub and to use in the cups

KMT - don't you know that X (the real 5th Columnsh!t) is a City fan waggonist (like all but a handful of modern day City fans)? Him wan' gwan like sey him is a LFC man when him cuss off the manager, said the club was "a bastion under Hodges", and that dem find Rodgers "under what rock?". (look below if you don't believe me).

The only regret I have with heX being at City is that Peter and my likkle bredda (him is 50 LOL!), first started supporting City circa 1971 now has to put up with this big bus load of waggonists...where dem was when City was a pine eena the 3rd division? Oh...right...supporting other clubs, like heX!! Well, thank god him is HL and BT problem now. LOL!!
