    Giroud has just scored the absolute best goal

    I have seen him score. ...damn if he keeps scoring from distance I shall have to change my opinion of him. Damn...there may just be more to him that those 6 yards tap-ins.

    He never allowed the defense, inclusive of...definitely inclusive of the ManCity 'keeper to set-up on defense. Yup...beautiful example of football being a game of SUDDEN! Damn good strike! Excellent goal!

              Scoring a shot further out than the penalty-spot distance from goal now and again does not cut it. We need a consist scorer from near in and distance - a Suarez type or Thomas Meuller type.

                At this time he appears better than Ashley Cole. Similar types on all other things but pace. Gibbs has greater pace and thus will win additional balls and provide greater attacking upside than today's Ashley Cole.

                  Karl, whether a goal is scored from near or far it is still a goal. Giroud has been doing ok for Arsenal. If we didn't lose the likes of Ramsey Walcott and Ozil to injury last season he would've scored more goals.

                      How many times he played against the big TEAMs - ManCity, Chelsea and Liverpool? ...and number of goals he scored?

                        Giroud did not score any goals against the above named teams last season.That does not say anything Karl. He scored against Napoli, Borussia Dortmund etc. The Arsenal team was given the runaround against those said teams so we were on the back foot in most of those games. It is well documented that Torres is a striker you rate highly yet he has only scored 20 league goals in 110 games for Chelsea. Compare Giroud's record for Arsenal to that of Torres for Chelsea.....
