  • Liverpool sign Hungarian teenagers

    (AFP) 28 May 2007
Liverpool have signed highly-rated Hungarian teenagers Krisztian Nemeth and Andras Simon from MTK Hungaria.

Nemeth, 18, and Simon, 17, impressed Rafa Benitez in last year's UEFA U-17 Championship and the Liverpool manager has moved quickly to bring the strikers to Anfield, where they will initially join his reserve squad.

The signings underline Benitez's determination to plan for the long-term by bring quality youngsters to Liverpool. The Reds recently parted with £5 million to sign Brazil U-20 captain Lucas from Gremio.

Can they be transfered since they are not over 18? Interesting!!!

It's no problem since Hungary is part of the European Union.

(although it will probably take Karl an entire week before he can grasp that)

Well, not a problem, but certain conditions apply. Liverpool will have to make some provisions for their academic education or vocational training, etc. I think Liverpool can cover tat without a sweat.

Sorry that is not a problem for me! I am dead sure if Adu was wanted by ManU he would be now in her clutches.

You seem to have a problem admiting Adu failed his ManU trial. Don't worry, failing that trail was not the end of the world for Adu...and, eventually you'll come around to admiting that ManU passed on him.
