Final Team Rosters for 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup™ to be released next week
Canada's preliminary roster for the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup™ was submitted last week. The preliminary roster includes players such as Dwayne De Rosario (Houston Dynamo), Atiba Hutchinson (FC Copenhagen, Denmark), Oliver Occean (Lillestrom, Norway) and Julian De Guzman (Deportivo La Coruña, Spain)... The maple leafs are currently preparing for an international friendly against Venezuela on 1 June in Mérida.
Technical Director Hernan Medford was forced to make a sudden change on his roster for the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup™ when midfielder Roy Myrie (Alajuelense) suffered a wrist injury that will keep him out for at least 3 weeks. Myrie will be replaced by Windell Gabriels (Municipal).
After a 2:1 win over Deportivo Temuco, the cubanos lost their second friendly match against the hosts Chile by a score of 2:0 at the Estadio German Becker in the City of Temuco... Cuba is currently training for the Digicel Shield tournament an event that will be hosted by Trinidad & Tobago on 28 May.
Technical director Carlos de los Cobos announced his final 23 man roster on 23 May ... The team will travel to Los Angeles on 28 May to continue training for its opening round games.
