b) the ball was taken away when the England players tried to/and indeed, put the ball on the side farthest from the opponent;
c) the England players were 'run down' and challenged for the ball;
d) beaten to the ball; 
e) about to 'put the trigger' when in on goal and before the shot could be taken the ball was taken away or shot challenged;
Just too slow...making the plays.
