  • Holland v Chile

Chile to bring the Dutch back down to earth. It should be a good game though

Chile controlling the middle of the park. I am watching keenly to how my coach makes the adjustments.
Hey .. look at the bright side .... at least you're not a Liverpool fan! - Lazie 2/24/10 Paul Marin -19 is one thing, 20 is a whole other matter. It gets even worse if they win the UCL. *groan*. 05/18/2011.MU fans naah cough, but all a unuh a vomit?-Lazie 1/11/2015

The Dutch v Chile - 2nd worse half played

Half still ongoing - 45min. ...only Honduras first match worse.

Incidentally Robben has returned to his 'hand me the ball and observe' anti-TEAM trait. Could be matter of both TEAMs playing down as they are already through.

Chile is a very solid side. The battle in this match is in the midfield with Chile having the upperhand. I can see why they can upset many of the higher ranked teams because their midfielders attack the ball aggressively which can be unsettling to the more technical teams like Spain. Their players are also good on the ball. Holland is doing well in keeping them in check. Robben is the difference maker despite whatever Karl wants to think. About 60/40 to Chile so far.

This Dutch team without Robben wouldn't be a threat, he is their one and only danger

Hope the 2nd half is far better than the 1st. This type playing does not represent the true quality of each TEAM.

Every team needs that difference maker. Alexis Sanchez is the difference maker for Chile. Again coaching makes the difference between two evenly matched teams. Holland has stepped up their intensity. Awaiting a goal.

If Chile introduce the general off the bench they might just edge this

As I said, quality is quality and coaches makes the difference. "RVG" made two substitution and one scored.

It is probably good you are not a football manager. He might just end up at your club. Fer is one of the most respected and rated players to come through the Dutch system, he has probably been playing league football from age 16 or 17 and I am almost sure he has represented Holland at every level from U16
