    C. Rica leaves a ! on Jamaicas UB40 policy

    It begs the question who is failing the youths,does talent abound, cc england under Hondgson, SS and Campbell in C. Rica although we played no part in their development except a bloodline that we seem to export to develop so well from a far.From 1st to 3rd world.

    So whats the Xcuse.

    Costa Rica has a much stronger domestic league than Jamaica.

        Jamaica should feel good about their 0-8 result against France. That was a grey Jamaican victory!!

          We always wonder why our players are not coming through. You are correct, the quality of our leagues have a lot to do with it. It also has not changes much since the mid to late 70s.

            How is the league quality to improve when there's no structured 8-18 y.o. player development?

            How are players to develop when Jamaica foolishly decides to depend on occassional visits from 3rd rate snow ballas just to try qualifying for the WC??

            How is Jamaican football to develop when the JFF has things a$$ backward???

                Until we start exporting ballers to play in better leagues or the standard of our league improves we will continue to struggle.

                  Valid point. Still think this falling through the cracks would be viewed by the JFF as clubs' responsibility. There is a lot of blame to go around for all, the FF, clubs, fans sponsors etc, etc.

                  The problems I see predates 1998 World Cup and current times. Snow ballas didn't cause the problem we currently have. They existed well before "Snow Ballas" came on board. I mentioned problems I saw going back from mid 70s, you are pointing to late 90s. Well, maybe you have no recollection of our football in the mid 70s anyway.

                  There is a lot wrong with the football culture in Jamaica, not just with the JFF. And while saying that, I am not in any way defending the JFF.

                      The buck stops with the JFF

                      When I speak of snow ballas I'm not really focusing on the players but the shortsighted POLICY that their presence in big numbers represents.

                      I have nothing against the players ... the policy is not their's.

                      I'm against that myopic, failed JFF policy which has produced ZERO world cup qualifications and far more importantly, ZERO player development improvement since 1998.

                      Only an a$$ could continue supporting that stupidity
