    You are right! I believe a local only side would easily pick up twice that amount. This was like target practice with a shot gun. You have to constantly load and come again. With an all local, it would be more like target practice with a M16.

        The only way Jamaica can create a consistently effective team is by applying some version of the Simoes model.. i.e. a core group playing many matches over extended periods versus strong opponents

        Since snow ballas are not generally available to play many games as part of a core group.... then a Jamaican team composed mainly of snow ballas is very unlikely to be a consistently good and cohesive unit

        This seems to be a reality that escapes most Jamaicans

          True but Simoes tried it a 2nd time and got fired because it did not work. Maybe we should train in England with a UB40 core?
          The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

            Wrong. You haven't learned the clear lessons of 1994-97

            Simoes' 2nd time around did not have a 3 year development period with a local core group
