HARRISON, New Jersey – Reggae Boyz head coach Winfried Schaefer was a lot happier at the end of Monday’s 1-2 friendly international loss against Serbia than he was prior to the start of the game.
Not that he’s one who enjoys mediocrity or that his standards are low. Far from it, for he’s under no illusions about the task that faces him as he tries to build Jamaica’s football programme and profile, not just for the FIFA World Cup Finals in Russia in 2018, but for the future beyond.
