If the JFF wants to attract any meaningful financial backing/endorsements, the first thing they have to do is (in the words of Al Davis) "Just Win Baby." Which means they have to develop & implement a comprehensive plan to teach/develop good players, coaches, trainers etc.
Regardless how well groomed & impeccably dressed the players & coaches are, if you're not winning no one will be interested, because winners attract followers/supporters who purchase......And that's the business. What is the return on investment for your financial backers/endorsers.
Bob Marley certainly didn't fit the mold, especially in the '70s, but attracted offers from Pepsi etc. because he was a marquee artist that had a large following. The same can be said for Jay Z, Lil' Wayne etc. If you look at some coaches who are receiving lucrative contracts & endorsements, they don't wear suits.
- People love & want to be associated with winners.
