Berlusconi refused to back Seedorf earlier in May, stating: "Let's just wait and see how the season ends. Not surprised he got axed, but why wasn't Inzaghi hired from day one? He had more coaching experience than Seedorf at the time.

He didn't do too bad considering that he took over of the team in mid-season with the club almost at the bottom of the tables. It would have taken a miracle to get the team to turn around their fortunes.
Winning six out o his last eight matches may have said that they were on the way to making a turnaround. Well, they missed Champions League by six points.

I think he should have been given more time. He takes the blame for the failure of the team well before he took over. That is what happens when you accept a job in mid-season.
