STOKE SIGN FULLER
Stoke have completed the signing of Southampton's Jamaica international striker Ricardo Fuller for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old makes the switch to the Britannia Stadium after passing a medical on Wednesday afternoon and agreeing the terms of a three-year contract with the Championship side.
Potters boss Tony Pulis has spent much of the summer chasing a proven goalscorer and his search was made all the more critical after Tuesday's departure of Icelandic marksman Hannes Sigurdsson to Danish side Brondby.
Fuller has a fine goals-to-games ratio in the Championship, scoring 27 goals in 57 league starts for Preston before injury-ravaged spells at Portsmouth and Southampton.
He once commanded a £1million fee when moving from Deepdale to Fratton Park, but failed to make an impression on the south coast and followed manager Harry Redknapp to Southampton last summer.
Injuries ruined his time at St Mary's, but he gave a hint of his considerable potential by netting six times in as many games at the end of last term, two of them during a loan spell at Ipswich.
