With six games left of this astonishing season, with 57% of Match of the Day viewers making us title favourites, and with the very comprehensive Sports Club Stats site estimating a 34.5% chance of our winning the title, the pressure is on. “Liverpool have not yet smelt fear”, Alan Hansen wrote in the Telegraph after the routine-seeming 4-0 win over Spurs. “The only certainty is that it will come sooner or later and how Rodgers’ players deal with that will decide the outcome of the title race.”

If you don’t accept Hansen’s assessment, here is our own Paul Tomkins, writing in these very pages a few days ago: “The hardest thing in football is to be brave, and to play your game, when the pressure is really on.”

There’s no denying that the pressure is real, that it’s huge, and that it’s mounting. What I’m not so sure about is that that’s a bad thing. Because one of the things about great players – one of the things that makes them great players – is that they respond positively to pressure.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

The unknown for Pool is if the will spiral downhill if they are forced to make chsnges,it isn't about Sterling,Suarez,Sturridge, all the players are vital to tge unit clicking.
Poil wibs or loses playing the same way, unlike most of the top four teams in the table suffering an identity crisis.

This guy is a better writer than your guru Tomkins. Only time will tell if they can handle the pressure.

I think the real question is if Pool will stop handling the presure.
Surpassed all expectations.Sounds to me they are more preoared..than their upcoming opponents.

Some sportsmen seem to easily find a way to put fear at bay and concentrate and even enjoy...nay revel in the task at hand!
