  • Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla still in chase

MADRID, Spain (AP) - Only four points divide the top four teams in the Spanish league with four games remaining in the season.

Real Madrid, with David Beckham available after a one-game suspension, leads defending champion FC Barcelona on head-to-head results. And with midfielder Fernando Gago training normally, Madrid coach Fabio Capello can count on his strongest players for Sunday's match at Recreativo Huelva.

Barcelona, which was held to a 1-1 draw last week by Real Betis, is due to travel to Atletico Madrid and coach Frank Rijkaard also hopes to field a full strength squad, with only defender Rafael Marquez out injured.

UEFA Cup champion Sevilla, two points behind in third place and playing at Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday, will need to recover from Wednesday's win over Espanyol. The Andalusian team won its second straight UEFA Cup title by beating Espanyol 3-1 on penalties after a 2-2 draw through extra time.

"We are defending European champions and we're going for three titles this year," Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido said. "Now it's the league, the league, the league."
Sevilla also plays Getafe on June 23 in the Copa del Rey final.

Fourth-place Valencia has 62 points, four less than Madrid, and travels to Mallorca with striker Fernando Morientes fit after a muscle strain but unable to field Brazil midfielder Edu and Uruguay midfielder Mario Regueiro. Both are still recovering from serious knee injuries.

Also, it's: Villarreal vs. Racing Santander; Levante vs. Osasuna; Real Sociedad vs. Celta Vigo; Espanyol vs. Getafe; Zaragoza vs. Athletic Bilbao; Mallorca vs. Valencia; and Real Betis vs. Gimnastic Tarragona.

On Wednesday, Barcelona midfielder Ronaldinho pulled out of this year's Copa America.

"In recent years, Ronaldinho's willingness to travel extensive distances at all times of the year to play for his country has had a knock-on effect to his fitness," Barcelona said.
