You got that bang on.
However, the positives first:
ManCity -
Enthralling game. Some very, very good football.
High quality technical skills by the players and good attacking football by both sides.
Hull as expected created most forays into the attacking third...but ManCity got best chances. ManCity could have had 4 or more goals.
a) ManCity stuck to their task with great discipline and superior intelligence.
That high line worked to perfection.
b) David Silva's goal was of the highest class.
c) David Silva's all round play was the very best on the field. MOM!
Hull
a) As unit showed they were well coached/taught & prepared for this match. It showed in TEAM structure and out-passing position...save - (Can we blame the coach/teacher for lack of 'brain power' of his players/class?) - failure to recognize when off-side.
b) Master video for teaching folly of giving the ball to your opponent by straying off-side, after gift of playing against ManCity's 10, this failure lost Hull the game.
Just cannot assist your opponents on defense so often and expect to win...inflict defeat on them at this level.
Hull worked the ball well to get into goal-scoring positions multiple times...and it appeared that on at least 10 - 12 occasions handed the ball to ManCity. A tremendous series of bone-headed decisions all connected with the "Off-side Law".
The ref
The game was easy to control -
a) Kompany's sending off was right
...only because he missed an immediate previous foul.
b) Hull, I thought should have had a penalty. It appeared that Joe Hart had taken away George Boyd's legs.

The goal by Hull that was disallowed would have been a great one....
One would have thought Hull would have had the upper hand with the sending off of Kompany considering the started so well against City's 11.
Knew immediately Kompany would be in trouble when he was given the ball in that awkward position.
BIG missed opportunity for Hull.Comment
