I hope he gets the chance to play for Jamaica. Right now I see an even spread of Reggae Boyz, both local & overseas playing all over the World in different leagues. I'm sure Bora can get 11 local overseas players: eg: like Shelton, Fuller, Bibi to name a few and 11 overseas foreign players.

'Here we go again' implies that you have made a conclusion.

Otherwise it would be 'Here we might go again'

Mosiah wasn't around football in those days, so he tends to say a lot of inaccurate things when it comes to the Simoes era.

                          Some facts -

We should remember the qualifiers was a long involved process with many phases.

For Example, the very first phase was one-off winner advance home and away series against SURINAM.

                          Very First Qualifier (match) -

31/03/1996, Paramaribo, Franklin Essed Stadium, 2.500

                          SURINAM 0-1 JAMAICA [HT 0-0]
                          Scorer: Theodore Whitmore 56' (0-1)

Jam: Warren Barrett, Fabian Davis, Gregory Messam, Durrent Brown, Linval Dixon, Ian Goodison, Christopher Dawes (Wayne Palmer 70'), Stephen Malcolm, Theodore Whitmore (Altimont Butler 79'), Michael Graham, Paul Davis (Paul Young 46')

                          Referee: Vanroy Burnes (Antigua/Barbuda)

                          Cards: Fabian Davis [Y 32'], Ian Goodison [Y 64']

NB: Of interest is the fact that Peter Cargill was not yet a part of the squad.

                          --------------------------

...let's skip to further along the journey.

                          Our 7th match -

16/10/1996, Ciudad de México, Estadío Azteca, 110,000

                          MEXICO 2-1 JAMAICA [HT 1-0]
                          Scorer: Walter Boyd 70' (2-1)

Jam: Warren Barrett, Fabian Davis, Durrent Brown (Wolde Harris 46'),Donald Stewart, Linval Dixon, Gregory Messam, Theodore Whitmore (Garth Peterkin 65'), Peter Cargill, Hector Wright (Altimont Butler 84'), Walter Boyd, Onandi Lowe

                          Referee: Ramesh Ramdhan (Trinidad/Tobago)

                          Cards: Linval Dixon [Y 54']

NB: Particualrly interesting as this match got us our best ever finish against Mexico in Mexico.

It is also interesting to note that the process of bringing in players playing in leagues outside of the island is well on its way.

                          ----------------------

                          16th match:

                          07/09/1997, Kingston, National Stadium, 30.000

                          JAMAICA 1-0 CANADA [HT 0-0]
                          Scorer: Deon Burton 55' (1-0)

Jam: Warren Barrett, Linval Dixon, Stephen Malcolm, Ricardo Gardner (Gregory Messam 67'), Durrent Brown, Fitzroy Simpson, Ian Goodison, Peter Cargill, Paul Hall, Deon Burton (Robbie Earle 75'), Theodore Whitmore

Referee: Oscar Juan Ruiz Acosta (Colombia)

                          Cards: Durrent Brown [Y 6'], Fitzroy Simpson [Y 57']

Fact: Players who were not born in Jamaica introduced.

                          ----------------
