  • Watching this David Moyes Manchester United side

is a painful exercise. With players of such a high caliber, he has them playing a slow prodding football. The players take about 5 or 6 touches before they pass the ball. This type of football is so ancient.
Hey .. look at the bright side .... at least you're not a Liverpool fan! - Lazie 2/24/10 Paul Marin -19 is one thing, 20 is a whole other matter. It gets even worse if they win the UCL. *groan*. 05/18/2011.MU fans naah cough, but all a unuh a vomit?-Lazie 1/11/2015

Fellaini finished the game okay despite wasting a scoring opportunity andmaking a couple errant passes(Rooney and Carrick too were guilty of those passes).
Fellaini was wise enough to quickly pass the ball whenever he had possession , but even so ,it was crazy for Moyes to start him. Before he got injured,he was an eye sore.
There were occasions when his teamnates bypassed him.
Kagawa would have added more to the offense,he,like Fellaini, would make passes but in those unique instances would have moved forward with the ball too....
It is mind boggling how Moyes has ignored Kagawa,he is the only one that hasn't played alongside Mata.Giggs over Kagawa was insane.
The problem is Moyes will link the team winning an away game with Fellaini being fielded.
It gets worse,Jones is set to return to the starting eleven.

Jones is a very good CB. It pains me to see Smalling playing RB. His best position is CB. Rafael is very good going forward and his defending has improved over the years, but he's too fragile and gets injured too often. Plus his temperament needs some serious improvement. DM has the team playing too slowly.

Look,at a glance Fellaini was okay, looking beyond the surface, one sees he can't provide a lift( he refuses to go forward with the ball because of his limitations).
Similarly,Jones' ball handling skill is suspect, this hurts when a better pass would make all the difference
Smalling is not a right back player(he isn't even our second best option),he is better suited in CD as you stated.
Even with Carrick we had problems getting away from our 18 today,Jones would not have helped....
As long as Rafael is banned from making long crosses he will be okay.
We need to get Mata clicking, the searc is on so why not pair him with Kagawa?
Two old defenders today, apart from their penchant to go forward, they were okay.

          High caliber? That backline?
No way is it even adequate!
