Trinidad and Tobago is seeking to capitalise on the interest generated by the Soca Warriors' participation in the 2006 World Cup Football Finals in <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 700; COLOR: black! important; FONT-FAMILY: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; POSITION: relative">Germany</SPAN> to drive European investment in its non-energy sectors.
Trade and Industry Minister Ken Valley said the twin-island republic is sending a mission to European capitals, saying investors there have been enquiring about opportunities in Trinidad in the aftermath of the tournament played in Germany.
The mission is to comprise government officials as well as public and private sector representatives from organisations in Trinidad's <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: black! important; FONT-FAMILY: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; POSITION: relative">energy</SPAN> and non-energy sectors.

Additionally, Valley said efforts are being made to ascertain if former national football captain, Dwight Yorke, will be willing to be part of the mission, and that FIFA vice-president, Jack Warner, would also be welcome to join the mission, if he chose. However, when contacted Warner said no one had invited him to be part of the mission.
Valley said the September 4-22 <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; COLOR: black! important; FONT-FAMILY: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; POSITION: relative">tour</SPAN> includes Ireland, Germany, Spain, France and England.
