The club is currently suspended and not playing because they struggled with finances.

I am just saying the "fee" is not set in stone. It can be negociated.

I remember reading that the Orlando franchise was in the area of $70 million. It wasn't a confirmed figure though.

thanks sass. this trigger discussion which we needed to do.. I think Ja needs to professionalize thier league... I dont think shared leagues develop players and not the MLS. A good case study is the MLS in Canada.. It has not helped the CSA why? you would think 3 mls teams would fast track development, but in my opinion it has not.. While the best young player now plays for a pro club the majority of players dont have clubs because investors are not going to invest in a second tier leagues its mls or bust. So to introduce one MLS club in Jamaica is a death sentence. Also keep in mind the rules around the MLS still see everyone other than Americans as foreign players. I like the idea but not as simple as it seems..

Good questions. Maybe in 10 years we will know but from where I sit its musical chairs.. We the clubs loose our best talent to TFC so really the question and claim would be they do a better job developing the player but i dont see the player playing in the first team.. I see the player leaving and going to the NCAA which is the same he would do if he stayed for the most part or if he went to one of the other academies. Its the numbers game its better to have many academies than 3 mls academies.. There is a reason why Southhapton develops more players than Man U....

Agree with you on that still.
