THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!
"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.
"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.Tags: None

You can put whatever value you want on Sturridge, it does not mean he will sell for that. Let us be realistic here. Falcao ($55M), Cavani ($55), Haiguan ($45M), Rooney ($28 M), Jovetic ($25mil), Jackson Martinez ($32M), Leandro Damiao ($30M), Mario Gomez ($30M), Pablo Asvaldo ($20M), Diego Costa ($32M) and Angel Di Maria ($28M). I have named some of the top strikers in the world who might be moving or who just completed moves. Do you think Sturridge is that much better than those guys to demand $75Million?
Anyway, it is market that drives price for these players. I do not see Sturridge being in that much of a demand to be valued more than any of those guys I have listed. I think if Sturridge could fetch $20 million that would be a lot."Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance." ~ Kahlil Gibran

I think that Sturridge is worth more than the $20m you're quoting... I'm not in the business but if say Fellaini can fetch $27M well, Sturridge is worth more than that... we all know that $75M is hyperbole on X's part... for now!Peter R

Fellaini should not have gone for more than the mid teens. Moyes overpaid double for him.

Ok sir, but I still think you've undervalued Sturridge by a few millions. Put it this way, if he were to somehow disappear off the books of LFC, how much would they have to spend to replace him with a player of equal performance?Peter R

Its not what you believe its what the market believes, you left out flops like Torres & Man City plethora of 30 to 40 million flops ,the one that stands out is Robinho and these flops didnt even prove themselves in the prem ,just hype.Sturridge has and continues to.
We start high in the bidding process ,if two clubs come calling it goes up,if one comes its negotiable.I think if he goes on the market,at least 3 Big clubs will come.
Valuation...101.THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

That is not how a player is valued PR. It has nothing to do with his replacement cost. What if you could get a striker who was much better than Sturridge who was at the end of his contract and therefore could move for free? Would you still value him at $20+ million?
As I said, it is market forces that drive the cost of the player. If Sturridge continue scoring goals like say topping the EPL for a few seasons, then that might change. A PSG, Monaco, Barca, Bayern, Real or some other big club may start having interest. Just slapping a high price tag on a player when there is no demand for him is more or less saying he is not going anywhere. We have seen Barca put such a high price tag on Messi, that no club can touch this. Maybe it is the same with Sturridge you guys want."Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance." ~ Kahlil Gibran

Weak argument X. Binho is a Brazilian international and came to the EPL with a resume that Sturridge could not touch.
Torres' exploits prior to his transfer to Chelsea dictated his price. Sturridge is scoring some goals, but he is not yet at the quality of Torres when he was at Liverpool. I have to admit Torres flopped after leaving Liverpool.

Anyway, as PR said, hyperbole on your part."Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance." ~ Kahlil Gibran

Resume that he is Brazilian.Sturridge is British automatically the market dictates a high price ,look at the history of english transfers,Rooney,Carroll etc.
That price sounds about right.THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!
