Anyway, my thought of the game prior to the match. I said to myself that Chelsea had to just find a way to keep Suarez quiet and out of the game. I went on to say that Liverpool cannot match us in the middle of the field. We only needed to score a couple goals and then play "big man" ball and we would have things under control.

I was surprised to see Mourinho start Eto'o in this game after his three close misses in the previous match. I guess it paid off however as Eto'o got the winner.
The truth of the matter is that Liverpool's resources are simply no match for that of City, Chelsea, Arsenal or Manu**. Today's bench alone should have shown any dispassionate observer of how impoverished we are compared to Chelsea's abundance of talent. That said, Suarez and Henderson did not have good games and Eto's foul on Suarez should have been a penalty. Willian and Hazard bossed the game and showcased midfield talent we simply do not have. In all, it was a fair result, but I can only wonder what might have been had we had a fit Sturridge and Gerrard.

Tilla, he has a very good reason to have been MIA. He didn't say say so but at the risk of over-stepping my bounds, his mother-in-law passed away just after Christmas and he went to Mexico to assist with the last rites. May she RIP. He's now back in "town".

My reason does pale in comparison, I'll agree...
