Brazil soccer referee killed during match; his head displayed on stake midfield

    Published July 07, 2013 FoxNews.com

A soccer referee was beheaded and his head displayed atop a wooden stake at midfield after a match erupted in violence in Brazil.

The bloody brouhaha began when the match’s referee, Otávio Jordan da Silva de Catanhede, became embroiled in an argument with player Linda dos Santos Abreu over a disputed call during a game in the town of Pius XII

that is taking "losing your head over a football game" to a wholly different level.

i would think that there is some underworld connection there ......match outcome perhaps was not what some intended it to be

I recall some negative news were associated to the last WC is South Africa (before the games began). All went well from all the reports.

        Brazil will be fine.

I blame Zeppo for all of this. He is part of a UK conspiracy to have the World Cup moved from Brasil to the UK.

To be honest I told my little brother not to go,albeit he lijely will be there despite...
Worried about the fellow ites that will make the journey too.
We are taking comfort in sheer odds but it means nothing to those that are victimized.
            Crazy what is happening there.

                Safety doesn't come first?
Anyway please walk good when you go there.

Would you tell your little brother not to go to Jamaica? Just asking. According to UN figures JA's murder rate (to use one measure of criminal activity) is almost double Brazil... hmmm

Why this habit of inserting Jamaica in anything negative?
Brazil hosting the WC has not been well met by some of its citizens(for financila reasons).
Also it is reported the drug gangs there promised to make it a bloody one.
Both would be anathema to Jakans.

Safety is a condition to avoid harm, hence fear of harm.
It is diametrically opposed to your nice nice saying.....

Is that an answer to my question? which I think is perfectly logical to ask... Jamaica only has itself to blame for being one of the most murderous countries per capita globally... does that, or would that prevent YOU or your family from going there? Simple question.

Maybe I incorrectly assumed there was a correlation between your question and my telling my little brother not to go.....WC,in fact I am sure it wasn't because if it was then the question has been answered.
My little brother(a handful of years my junior)Was born in the USA.He came to Jamaica as as a child and lived there for his formative years. He went to Wolmers and only returned to go to college. He visits Jamaica VERY often and my concern about the alarming crime rate has loooong tapered off.
No.....,now if there is an emerging threat then and only then....
