Francois Swaby, Sporting Central Academy
When did you start playing football?
I started playing at Spalding Primary. I was 10 years old at the time.
How are you enjoying your game at Sporting Central Academy?
I'm enjoying it very much. It's like a family here. Playing for Sporting I have gained a lot of experience. It has also taken me all over the country.
How do you prepare for a match?
My preparation usually starts from the week begins. I try to focus. Closer to game day, I try to get a lot of rest.
Is there any ritual/superstition that you have?
Before match I don't usually bathe with soap.
When was the last time your coach blasted you and why?
I can't really remember the last time, but I guess it would probably be all the time. Once you are not doing your job as effectively, he will try to get you back in line. Not necessarily blast.
Which team in the Red Stripe Premier League do you fear the most and why?
I personally don't fear any team. We have a good crop of players here at Sporting and on any given day we can beat anybody. It's just a matter of preparation and following the coach's instructions.
Who is the best player you have seen in the Premier League?
I think that would be Jermaine Hue. His ball control is second to none. And, even though he doesn't move a lot, his plays are always effective.
Which player do you find most difficult to play against and why?
You have a lot of good defenders in the league, but I don't really find any one player who is that difficult to play against. Once I do what I'm supposed to do I can get the better of anybody.
Who is your favourite international team and player?
Spain is my team. And, David Villa would be the player.
