    It was a different era when Kanu and Okocha went to Europe; there were no FIFA laws blocking the international transfers of minors back then.

    But that's no longer the case.

        Playing on crappy fields should be a deterrent to our football development. Two weeks ago when Mancity was threatening to report CSK Moscow to Uefa about the poor condition of their field, Yaya Toure came out and said that the field doesn't bother him because he's played on worse.

          Messi got around the FIFA regulations? ...or put another way, he found a way to satisfy the FIFA regulations.

            Messi also went to Europe before the current FIFA regulations were in place.

              Yes! ...and we should be trying to replace all crappy fields with "billard table fields".

              As we are where we are, it makes sense doesn't it?
