That some EPL manager instructs his team to put Mertesacker to the test is something I have been waiting on.

Sturridge has the blinding speed over ground and Suarez has blinding speed on 'fast feet'. Yup!...it will be something to see them pitted against Per Mertesacker....one v one

...even then I wish our TEAM defending will be enough as per usual we shall create our fair share of chances.

Our 2nd worry is whether or not our players will take the chances
Karl stop it, BFG is the real deal. Calm and assured simply the best Centre half we've had for a long time

Good you had a wonderful time.
        A win is, a win!
My GUNNERS will...as a GUNNERS fanatic...take it any day.

        Good win.
'pool is not around the top (of the EPL tables) for nothing.

Sometimes we have to win ugly. That is always better than losing pretty

Sorry if you got the impression that either it was not a good win or I was not please?

It was a good win. ...and for the most part...perhaps, 80% of the game we were totally in charge. True Liverpool got a few chances - e.g. Henderson's waltzing into our Penalty-Area deep and scuffing his shot, Sturridge's uncntested header from within our Penalty-Area and Suarez's hitting of our upright again from deep within our Penalty-Area - but we got the chances to have buried 'pool. At least one of Giroud's clear chances...maybe?

I look towards our Champions league game on Wednesday with optimism. ...as to the BoyU game? If we come off a win on Wednesday then BoyU could be buried!!!

I have still not seen the game except for the first goal but the minute I saw Flannagan's name in the starting line up, I knew we were in trouble. Sure enough, take a look at the first goal, he was waltzing his way back towards the box when Sagna took off down the wing...leaving 4 midfield attackers and a striker for the wing back to aim for. It may be unfair to "blame him" for the goal, but the lack of urgency in coming back to cover left way too much space in the box. He is no Glen Johnson that's for sure. The return leg will be very very interesting if both teams are at full strength. Gooners have the best midfield in the business but their defense can be vulnerable. Their title credentials will fast a stiff test between now and the end of the year with 5 of their next 8 games being against Manure, Southampton, Everton, City and Chelsea...not an easy road at all. We will see if they are up to it.

Not fair to pick out that single effort to, in a back-handed way, speak on our Mighty GUNNERS.

We actually tore your defense apart about 4 or 5 more times. Although we had player's help - i.e. Toure's pass to Giroud - at least once.

You are bang on the money about our games leading up to the end of the year. I do not think you will deny we can take each of your named teams. As you say, the million dollar question is, will our GUNNERS?

It shall be an interesting few weeks.

btw - There could be radical changes in the table. Sure GUNNERS could be even further separated from the following pack...but right through #8 place (currently held by BoyU) great shifts could occur.

Yup there could be changes further down the tables but that is...cho!
