Karl players from other countries who are affiliated with club academies also get scholarship to the US. I remember even talking to a youth from the Nordic who played with the Arnett striker(can't remember the name right now) The one who played in Africa while he was up in the Nordic and he got a scholarship to a NY University. Player from England, France and Germany play in the NCAA all the time, the difference is if they were professional and not if they played with an established club. Our clubs are considered "Semi-Pro".

Fact is if you play in the Bronx League or any summer league and it is proven that you get paid, you are in trouble. Our coach use to warn us about that in college.

Our semi-pro league has caused much trouble for students trying to get into college in the USA. So not sure how correct you are on this, Sass.
