The fans assumed that having tried the “Stop – Start, Stop – Start…” method of putting a squad together, then tearing it apart and reaping failure our JFF would attempt going down a different road for 2010 Qualifiers. That did not happen. Like the deranged mentioned above, our JFF merrily danced down the path that led to failure in the World Cup 2002 qualifiers and the World Cup 2006 qualifiers. The predictable result of a “crashing and burning” of the euphemistically named, “Road to South Africa 2010” occurred.
The JFF is advised to turn the page. Do not continue the madness of the past. The post-’98 years with the Reggae Boyz failing to qualifying for another World Cup has gone on for much too long. A planned sensible effort at qualifying for the 2014 World Cup must be made. The period of madness must end. It must be no disbanding of the squad that fought for Jamaica in this 2010 qualifying campaign. It must be the provision of continuous preparations. It must be steady diet of matches against TOP OF THE WORLD competitors.
