Manchester United’s deal to take Ander Herrera to Old Trafford appears to have failed.
According to respected Spanish newspaper AS, a convoy of Manchester United delegates were at the LFP, the administration offices for La Liga tonight to finalise a move believed to be in the region of £30.5 million.
Personal terms between the player and the Reds had been agreed, with a contract of around £3.3 million a year offered.
However, it has been reported in Spain the deal if off for ‘bureaucratic reasons’ with the issue believed to be over the payment of Spanish tax.
The news has also been corroborated by SKY Sports Spanish football expert Guillem Balague who has tweeted the breakdown of the move while the Reds are also said to have had a bid for Real Madrid's Sami Khedira rejected.
