It is an easy explanation, Scottish football is broke. If you are not playing for Celtic or Rangers you are earning pittance. He will earn a better living playing in the third tier of English football.

Chris is a good player and is good enough to play at Championship or premiership level. Liverpool among others were on his trail when Dalgleish was manager but a move didn't happen for him. Preston NE is one of the most prestigious club in England and a sleeping giant should be playing in the Championship at least.

That is my opinion Boss, a player can't sign for who haven't approach him. Pound notes talk. Did you see Norwich come through to the Premiership with back to back promotion moving up from the 3rd division to the Premiership with virtually the same players. Players like Ricky Lambert was playing in the third division a few years ago and now is scoring goals in the Premier League.

Don't listen to the foolishness them preaching. Unless Humphrey's improves his game significantly next over the next season or two, he is far (very far) from being a PL quality player.
