One football analyst describes Deshorn with two words, pace and tenacity, when was the last time we heard the word tenacity mentioned with any reggae boyz forward?

How did Alvas Powell play in his 1st game?

Prefect description! He's a very direct player. Goes straight to goal using his speed and strength.

he must have played decent as I didn't see much on his play except
"The mood on the field intensified when Portland rookie right back Alvas Powell - making his first MLS start - and Rusin were battling for a ball when Powell leveled Rusin with an elbow to the face, immediately drawing a yellow card from referee Radu Petrescu in the fifth minute."

Some thought is should have been a red.

He didn't play well. Looked uncomfortable on the turf and a bit our of sync.
Was better in his reserve team performances. He has been playing at centerback for the reserves, but on the right in his few outings with the senior team.

He continues to do well. He has been the best second best Jamaican in the league this season (Ricketts #1).

He has played many positions. When spotted at the under 15 level it was in a game as a right back.

In his school competition he was a striker, defender and in the most recent season a midfielder.
For the Jamaican Junior teams he has played central defense and occasionally stepped into midfield.
When I saw him play for the Portmore United senior team it was as a right back and left back.
