Birmingham City striker Marlon King was arrested after a hit and run which left a man in hospital on Saturday night.
The collision reportedly occurred near London's West End and the 33-year-old has been released on bail until September by City of London Police.
The victim, in his 40s, was treated for head injuries in a nearby hospital and sources told The Sun that the incident occurred not far from the busy Paddington Station.

'The guy was hit by a car, possibly a Mercedes, not far from Paddington station. He got a knock to the head but the driver didn't stop to see if he was OK,' the source told The Sun.
'The police were called pretty quickly.'
The former Nottingham Forest, Watford and Coventry City man was detained by police in the exclusive Lancaster Gate area.
King was handed a free transfer hours before the incident and his agent, who was aware of the accident, refused to comment further.
