I don't know about 23 million dollars but you don't have to be the greatest passer when you playing alongside Carrick. He is as good defensively as any midfielder that Manu have and he is a direct threat on corners and other spot kick, a problem for defense.

We can challenge for the title. Our finish to the season shows we can win the EPL.
...but previously unrest in the squad and crappy starts to the season has done us in. If we start winning all the matches we should we win the EPL.
This past season our start scuttled out chances...but 5 straight seasons before this last we were in with a chance to win it all by but stubbed out toes late by losing and drawing matches against teams outside of the top 5 that we should have won."Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. The points distribution/the win-loss-draw results among the top 3 have not been the determining factor. It is points dropped to those below the top 3 that usually determines who comes out as Champ. ...to spell it out: The winner in many cases could have picked up no point from the others in the top three and still have enough points to win in they won all their other matches.Originally posted by Twan View Post

If the winner dropped 12 points (home and away losses to the other 2 teams in the top 3) there would still be a maximum of 34 x 3 = 102 points to be gained.
The 4th place team could drop 6 x 3 = 18 points and still would have had a total of 32 x 3 = 96 points that would have been up for grabs.
...but we all know that each team that has won the EPL has always dropped points to teams that on paper they should have beaten.
