  • USA 1! - Teaching moment speed of action (passes)...

...speed across ground - 2 touches brings the striker so near to the goalkeeper that as long as the shot was to either side it was like a penalty...i.e. 'keeper had no time to react. ...when 'keeper did react ball was beyond him.

    This is a simple game!!!
Quick thinking! Quick acting (passing)! Quick movement (speed across ground)...pass into goal!!!

Forget Coby and the commentators...after the 1st goal - Yeah! ...good second goal - after the first goal the USA lost purpose and that swift passing and good movement disappeared. The USA team played crappy after that 1st goal...but put in a lot of hard running around.

Eddie Johnson still shows he is a poor player. ...and all Klinsmann's subs proved there was not one good player among them.

Holden or whatever his name is was being boasted as a good player by Coby and the rest...but he was awful. He gave away the ball more than one of those ladies on Retirement Crescent back in the days gave away....forgive the reference but the US display descended in the gutter!!!

USA was good for the few early minutes. Not even the swift passing that got the US that excellent 2nd goal could remind the players how the game should be played. Awful they were!!!
