MANCHESTER CITY are monitoring striker Oscar Cardozo’s row with Benfica as they hunt for a replacement for Carlos Tevez.
Cardozo is one option being looked at by new City chief Manuel Pellegrini after the Paraguayan’s spectacular bust-up with boss Jorge Jesus.
The Portuguese giants value their hitman at around £14.5million.
But they may be forced to let him go for less after Cardozo shoved his manager following a shock defeat by Guimaraes in the Portuguese Cup final.
Benfica, who also lost to Chelsea in the Europa League final, finished the season empty handed but 30-year-old Cardozo still scored 33 goals.
His agent Pedro Aldave said: “Benfica know the situation and now the subject is in their hands.
“There’s always been interest from the Premier League — but this is real interest.”
