The world's brightest young star has lived up to his billing at the 2013 Confederations Cup, leading Brazil into Sunday’s final against Spain, but Neymar’s penchant for exaggeration reared its head late in Wednesday's win over Uruguay, and today we're offering up his just desserts.
With Brazil up 2-1, and Neymar battling Uruguay’s Walter Gargano for possession in the 90th minute, Barcelona’s latest signing takes what appears to be minimal contact and comes out of it as if run over by a rhinoceros -- endearing himself to those English fans who would walk across broken glass to take credit for “codifying” soccer’s rules and love to bring up the dark arts practiced outside their borders, yet somehow remain free of all culpability regarding the game’s shortcomings while offering no insight as to why they’re not any better at it.
