  • Ronaldo set to meet over United deal

According to reports out of Spain by El Pais, Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is set to meet with officials from Manchester United as soon as this week over a reported transfer back to Old Trafford. The reports have been widely picked up among English media, with ESPN also reporting that Ronaldo’s meeting with United officials will help determine whether or not a move is feasible.
Ronaldo has been linked with a return to the Premier League champions all summer, but the hiring of Carlo Ancelotti yesterday may prove to be a stumbling block in any potential deal. The Italian has already revealed his delight to be taking the reins of Los Blancos, and it’s extremely unlikely that he’ll want to lose one of the world’s best players.
Despite Real’s insistence that Ronaldo will remain at the club, the Portuguese international is yet to sign a new contract, prompting reports like the one from El Pais.
"Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)
