  • The importance of training in snow!!!

    http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=qzd6H...%3Dqzd6HM-zPYs

    A little laughter for you all who love the training in snow business.

    And a little knowledge to share as well, not one team in the history of the World Cup that snow does not fall at least once every year has ever, ever, yes ever made it to the semifinal round of any World Cup.

    Pretty surprising stat, not one country whose entire borders falls within the tropical zone has ever made it to the the semi final level of the World Cup in any year since its inception. Hmmm look like the advantages from training in snow has some indirect advantage, BDL.

    Or could it be as a result of the preponderance of World Cup spot allocations are disproportionately distributed to those countries (namely European) with snow?

    Take Africa for example, there are 54 countries in the African conference, but they are allocated 5 slots. UEFA has 50 countries, they have 13 slots. The remainder of the 32 slots are shared up with other conferences. Could that have something to do with it?

    Breakdown Of Slots For 2014 Word Cup
    Association-----Slots
    ASIA FC---------4.5
    CAF-------------5.0
    CONCACAF--------3.5
    CONMEBOL--------4.5*
    OFC-------------0.5
    UEFA------------13.0
    * plus hosts Brazil
    Note: where .5 slots are allocated, this indicates a play-off with a
    nation from another association

      Tilla just a little joking, probably have more to do with economics and culture more than anything else. It would be interesting to see what percent of GDP is football across all the football countries, I would bet that Argentina and Uruguay would probably be one of the highest from that standpoint.
