Malouda heading towards Chelsea exit as £80k-a-week star made to train alone while team-mates holiday... but he will still pocket £4MILLION this year without kicking a ball

    By Neil Ashton

This time last year Florent Malouda was still celebrating Chelsea's Champions League triumph after coming on as a substitute against Bayern Munich.
Yesterday the forgotten man of Chelsea's historic victory against Jupp Heynckes' side in the Allianz-Arena was isolated and alone at their Cobham training centre.
There are echoes of Winston Bogarde, the £50,000 a week Dutch defender who was ordered to train with the youth in his final season at Chelsea in 2004.

Lone winger: Malouda will be released by Chelsea on June 30

Bogarde commuted from his home in Amsterdam and reported each day at Chelsea's old Harlington training centre to fulfil his contractual obligations.
Malouda's contract at Chelsea, which is worth £80,000 a week, does not end until June 30 and it is possible he may even be ordered to train until then.
Chelsea's under-18 team, who lost the FA Youth Cup final against Norwich, and the Under-21 Development Squad have packed up for the summer.

It's the penalty Malouda, who joined Chelsea in 2007 from Lyon, is paying for criticising Roberto Di Matteo's training methods and refusing to leave last summer.
Malouda, 32, has not been involved with the first team, who are in St Louis preparing to play a showpiece friendly against Manchester City today, since last summer.
His last was the Champions League final, when he came on as a 73rd minute substitute for rookie left-back Ryan Bertrand in the Amsterdam Arena.

Isolated: Bogarde was ordered by Claudio Ranieri to train with the youth during his final season at Chelsea

He went on to make three appearances for France at Euro 2012 and returned to start preparing for the new season with Chelsea under Di Matteo.
The Chelsea winger was banished to the academy building after he refused to apologise to Di Matteo during the club's pre-season programme.
After Chelsea initially agreed to his request to leave, Malouda pulled out of a move to Mexico at the last minute and decided to stay at Chelsea for another year.

International: Malouda featured for France at Euro 2012 last year

The response, which was taken at boardroom level, was to order the France international midfielder to train with the Development Squad in another area of Chelsea's training ground.
Chelsea's hardline stance has cost them just over £4m in wages, but the football board maintain they made the right decision when they stripped Malouda of his first team privileges.
His locker was cleared and his car parking space was allocated to another player when he was sent to train with the academy.

Fall out: Malouda criticised the training methods of Di Matteo last summer

Incredibly his attitude has remained first class, passing on tips to some of Chelsea's young players as he saw out the last few months of his contract.
Nathan Ake, who made his first start for the senior team against Everton on the final day of the season, along with highly-rated young players such as George Saville and Todd Kane have all benefited from his advice.
He will eventually leave as a Champions League winner, but it's not the way he wanted to go out after six years at Stamford Bridge.

Young gun: Ake, 18, has benefited from Malouda's advice and recently made his first start for Chelsea

    FLORENT MALOUDA BY NUMBERS

£13.5m: Malouda’s transfer fee when he moved to Chelsea from Lyon in 2007

220: Total Chelsea appearances, including 45 goals

0: Chelsea appearances in last 12 months – his last match was the Champions League final against Bayern Munich

£4.16m: Amount Malouda has collected in wages since his last match – he earns approximately £80,000 a week

Suh Di matteo was the problem
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Now that's professional...but only after blotting his book with unprofessional comments and the unprofessional refusal to apologize to Di Matteo

I thought he had moved. I even heard an ad in Jamaica for the UCL finals that will be hosted by him and when they said Chelsea player, I was wondering why he was not referred to as the 'former' Chelsea player. I guess i was wrong.
"Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)

He is still a Chelsea player until the end of the season. Chelsea told him he could leave for nothing as he was not a part of their long-term plans. He had offers but refused to take them because they would not match his Chelsea salary. So he decides to stay and draw his Chelsea money whil he run down his contract. Hear people sorrying for him but I cannot understand why.

Jose Mourinho has landed his first signing since returning to Chelsea with Germany forward Andre Schurrle joining from Bayer Leverkusen for £18million.

Schurrle, 22, has been on the radar at Stamford Bridge for over a year and is set to sign a long-term contract after the club confirmed a fee had been agreed on Thursday.
Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne has not been included as part of the deal, despite reports suggesting the Belgian would head in the opposite direction.

On his way: Andre Schurrle has completed his £18million move from Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea

Guitar hero: Schurrle's goal celebrations, in which he used the corner flag as an air-guitar, became a cult hit in Germany

              Andre Schurrle factfile:

1990: Born November 2 in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
2006: After starting out with his hometown team, signs a deal with Mainz.
2009: Makes his Bundesliga debut for Mainz in a 2-2 draw with Bayer Leverkusen. Scores his first career goals a month later.
2010: September - Mainz announce Schurrle has agreed a five-year deal with Leverkusen from the end of the season. Makes his Germany debut shortly afterwards.
2011: Schurrle's final Mainz season ends with him scoring 15 goals - a club record.
2012: Plays for Germany at Euro 2012 but fails to score.
2013: April - Leverkusen confirm they have had contact with Chelsea about Schurrle.
June 13 - Chelsea announced they have agreed a deal to sign Schurrle.

Mourinho was asked on Monday what his plans were for De Bruyne and his young compatriot Romelu Lukaku and he gave a strong hint that the pair are part of his vision for the future.

The Europa League winners confirmed the Schurrle deal and said in a statement: 'Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement for the transfer of Andre Schurrle, subject to the completion of legal documentation and related matters, including personal terms and passing a medical.'
Schurrle came through the youth ranks at Mainz where he played under Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp and alongside Tottenham midfielder Lewis Holtby before leaving for Leverkusen in a £6.5m deal two years ago.
He made his international in November 2010, becoming the first player born in unified Germany to represent his country alongside Mario Gotze.

Schurrle plays predominantly on the left wing but is comfortable operating in any forward position. He has scored seven goals in 24 games for Germany.

Spending spree: Mourinho has made Schurrle his first signing since returning to Stamford Bridge

Staying put: Belgium's Kevin De Bruyne has not been included in the deal to sign Schurrle, indicating that he will get a chance to impress Mourinho in pre-season

International regular: Schurrle has earned 24 Germany caps since November 2010 and played at Euro 2012

New Blues boss Mourinho will now turn his attentions towards signing a striker, with Napoli's Edinson Cavani, Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic, and Zenit St Petersburg's Hulk.

Chelsea are also keen on Wayne Rooney, who wants to leave Manchester United after growing unsettled at Old Trafford, but are unlikely to land their man with United unwilling to sell to a Premier League rival.

However, Mourinho maintained he was also looking to bring on the club's younger players in the new campaign.
'These "kids" - and I say that respectfully - have big potential and big space for improvement. They've not reached their best level,' he said.
'The stability the owner and I can give them is related to work - in the methods, the coaching philosophy, in my leadership, in everything that can help them improve.
'When you mix with them those who are over 30, we will keep a balance and try to go on.'
