...and that shall be Sepp's downfall!
...and I am still wondering on, "How 'Jack' killed 'Jack' through his arrogance - (Only arrogance could make someone take the risks he did and expect to walk away scot-free.) - and "how he failed to see that the IRS will come calling" and on that the whole deck of cards shall come tumbling down?
"Jack's" big gamble that caused all the cracks to start appearing, was a belief in himself as ultimate kingmaker - i.e. removal of Sepp and insertion of Mohammed Bin Hammam - and with Sepp knowing of the goods 'Jack' had on him, Sepp would have quietly walked away. Never in 'Jack's' wildest dreams did he expect Sepp to gamble with his own possibility of losing his position, enormous wealth and spending time in jail.
...well Sepp gambled on 'Jack' walking away and 'Jack' keeping quiet to protect his own interests...and that control of FIFA would be the ultimate protection for Sepp. ...but in such a scenario Sepp would have to hold on to the FIFA presidency for life to escape his come-uppance.
'Jack' so far has kept his mouth shut but the other side of Sepp's gamble, President-for-life, I fear will not come to pass...and when a new chief - FIFA president - comes to office, he shall look to his own created 'moneytree' totem pole and what better way to be awarded free reign than to show great leadership and transparency as the man that 'ground' Sepp underfoot and rooted corruption out of FIFA?
