  • RBYZ must call Pennant

But we have J.J and Fuller to exploit the wings ,Strange how arsenal discarded him and how West Ham stiffled Mascheramo , I will say this until I die, enviroment plays a big part in a man's progression.

With Todd in Denmark I expect to see our Boyz there.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Or maybe he's a late bloomer! He was quite ordinary when he was with Arsenal, I thought.

Pennant played official games for England at youth level and he is now over 21.

He's tied to England and can't play for Jamaica.

So did Jason Euell and if I am not mistaken so too did Richard Langley.

But they decided to play for Jamaica before FIFA made the rule regarding how and when a player can switch nationalities.

About a year and a half ago FIFA declared that if a player has represented one country at youth level in official competitions he can switch nationalites (provided that he is elligible for that other country) only once by making a declaration before his 21st birthday. But if that player has represented a country at the full senior level -- at any age -- he is automatically tied to that country for life.

Did any of Pennant's England U-21 caps come from official competitions, i.e. U-21 European Championships or the qualifiers? He played for the England U-21s over 20 times, so I would imagine some of them were.

He belongs to England. You guys need to let this one go.

Not really a case of me being nervous, but rather of you being desperate.

Don't believe me if you don't want to -- check the rules for yourself. But they are what they are.

I actually agree with Zeppo on this subject. While Pennant is doing well for Liverpool, Jamaica should definitely leave him alone and try to develop more players like Shelton...yeah build the local program and turn out some phenoms. As a matter of fact I don't believe we would even need Pennant if this Rookie at the Red Bulls continue to impress...I believe that his name is Richards.

Funny you laugh at a man who is Jamaican but is living outside of the country, but you are calling for Pennant who may only know about his Jamaican roots and is already an English player.

BTW, what about the youth McAnuff, did he amount to anything? Where is he now?

It's not even a matter of me having an opinion on the subject.

                          I'm just stating a fact.

Pennant is inelligible to play for Jamaica.

Thanks to the recent FIFA rule change regarding players with dual nationality Jermaine Pennant would now be eligible to play for Jamaica.

Why? Don't we already have an abundance of talent in Jamaica? Pennant would be a surplus. Further more .... is this the same Pennant that played for Liverpool and then went to Portsmouth? Waste of air fare.
